Safety

Small swaps, handled with care.

Mianka works because readers look out for each other. Here's what the app does and what you can do to keep every swap easy.

What the app does

  1. i
    Ratings after every swap

Both readers rate each other once a swap is done. Missed drop-offs and no-shows are recorded too, so you can see how someone swaps before you agree.

  2. ii
    The tick

Readers with at least 10 completed swaps and a rating of 4.2 stars or better get a tick next to their name. It is worked out automatically and can come and go as their rating changes.

  3. iii
    Block and report

Open someone's profile and use Report or Block. Reports come to us with the reason you pick. Blocking hides you from each other in both directions.

  4. iv
Your money never passes through us

Labels are bought directly from InPost. In a cash-swap you pay the owner by BLIK, up to 25 PLN. A BLIK transfer cannot be reversed, so only agree an amount you are comfortable sending.

Meeting in person

Meet at a metro station you both pick.

  • Meet at the metro station you both agreed on and avoid quiet late hours.
  • Keep the arrangement in the app so there is a record. Never share your home address in chat.
  • If someone pushes to meet somewhere else or to move the chat off the app, stop and report them.

Using an InPost locker

Or send it locker to locker.

  • Labels come straight from InPost. Every label is bought before any book moves.
  • You have 48 hours to drop off once the labels are bought. The drop-off code opens the locker. It is not the tracking number.
  • The reader with the weaker record of ratings and swaps drops off first. A good reputation means you are less likely to go first.

Something not right?

Report it in the app or write to us.

If you're in danger, call 112 first.
